Subversif is the one who opposes the unacceptable. The one who asks the questions no one asks. The one who decides to take the “wrong path”. It is Calvino’s “Baron in the Trees” who spends his life observing the world from another perspective. It is the child who asks the questions that no one asks anymore. To be subversive is to reconnect with our primary self, to everything we were before society shaped us and made us bend, just before we forgot our values and dreams.​

I have been an artist most of my life. I travelled for over nine years. I have done a dozen of different jobs. I thought I lived to the beat of my own drum. I knew that my freedom stopped at the tangible limits of society, but I believed my thoughts and actions were free from all conditioning. The journey to self-discovery would prove me wrong. I discovered that conditioning was like an unwelcome guest influencing my every decision. It was when the word “subversive” surfaced, arriving as a wake-up call, reminding me of the vital need to question everything, especially what seems normal or obvious.
